At-Home Fitness Recommendations

There are several things we can do to help boost our immune systems during this virus outbreak. Event though many of us are either quarantined or socially isolated, there is so much that we can do at home! First, let's talk fitness.

For those of us who are used to going to a regular gym, or take fitness classes with "our people, or may not even have a fitness routine at all--it can be daunting to start a home fitness routine. I have compiled a list of online resources for any- (and every-) body. This list includes resources to virtual fitness classes that can be done as a series, just once, or with daily reminders. Some are YouTube videos/channels and others are apps that work for both Android and IPhone with membership fees being waived given the current circumstances. There are different formats of exercise from yoga, to cardio classes, to strength training that can be done at home with or without equipment. The workouts are easy to follow for people who are less familiar with regular exercise, with options to ramp up intensity for seasoned everyday fitness enthusiasts. There are also a few resources that provide fitness inspiration and guidance for those who just want that extra shot of motivation or some help breaking down good form. Please send me a message if you have any other links that I can add to this list to help spread the love without spreading germs!

Next post will talk more about what we can do to boost our immune systems at home, but I thought this would be a good place to start not only to boost our immunity, but also to get out any of that "cabin fever" some of us are having from staying indoors. Good luck and have fun!

Prepare, don't panic.
