Day 23: Out of Dystopia

Last night I did not get a lot of sleep. After a sad day, my friends and husband really picked me up in spirit, but there will just be moments that are hard. For all of us. Today was a little bit brighter. After waking up, my husband had made a "nest" on the couch with comfy blankets and pillows to settle into. He encouraged me to take some time for myself and so I did...accidentally falling asleep for a two hour nap (but I am pretty sure my mind and body really needed it).

We were finally allowed to see my mom today and she played with our sweet pup, made us a great dinner, and helped us organize some things for our house.

We were also allowed to just breathe in the backyard with beautiful 70 degree weather, daffodils, and the violets of early spring. Rory chewed a stick and we all enjoyed sunshine on our pale cheeks.

Honestly, this week has actually felt like "a week," and not just a dystopian novel that we haven't read to the end yet...so I am more than ready for this weekend. After a little time to relax, I think we are going to head upstairs and go to bed to get as much sleep as humanly possible. Where are you getting your sunshine, my friends?

Prepare, don't panic.
