A huge thank you to Gov. DeWine and Dr.Acton for re-establishing our shelter in place order until May 1, 2020. As citizens, we are encouraged not only to remain at home, but also to wear paper masks (not N95) when we do have to go out to a doctor or pharmacy, and to continue to precautions that we have been taking up to this point. While the data coming in is still just a snapshot--these interventions truly appear to be working. As Gov. DeWine addressed our state today, "You are buying us time."
In that time, local officials have located the sites for several makeshift hospitals that will be set up ASAP, new avenues for ventilators are being pursued, machines to safely recycle N95 masks are in mass production, the guard has been called in to help get both federal and local prisoners the care they deserve as human beings...the list goes on. Keep up the fight, and the morale!
This is your friendly, Monday reminder that we are all in this together-and we are going to win. The sacrifices, heartaches, and fears we overcome right now are as one global community. When you are feeling isolated or lonely, take some solace in the fact that people all over the planet are with you in your feelings. Close your eyes, reach out with your mind and find the millions of others feeling the same way and send the biggest, kindest mental hug you can. Know I can feel it, and I am hugging you back.
Prepare,don't panic.
