Day 54: Musical Mondays

I have been looking forward to to today for a little while now because I had a guitar lesson scheduled with the multi-talented Irish musician, Dave Howley (of We Banjo 3). Dave and I have known each other since 2015 and have become friends over the past five years. Today he helped me with my first breakout session into DADGAD guitar tuning on my father's Taylor guitar.

I already love the bright, robustness of the tuning and appreciate the versatility that it provides to really sign your name to the song between the notes. I am excited to be working on several quaran-tunes with him as long as we are all inside.

I am so appreciative of my both my mom and my husband who have been encouraging me to pick up music with the dedication that I had in high school now that I have the time.

If blog posts seems shorter, know that I am still making full use of hands, but with fibromyalgia, I also need to balance which creative tasks I am going to prioritize since my fingers and forearms are the first things that start to really hurt.

So far, so good and the music and mixed media content will still be headed your way. Hope everyone had a great start to their week!

Prepare, don't panic.
